Enter a Custom Max and Duration for a Service Configuration

After a service unit Authorization has been entered and saved for a patients insurance, the default Max and Duration values can be modified for a specific service configuration, if required. For example, the payer has authorized additional service units or days for the patient.

  1. Access authorizations for a patient's insurance.
    The Authorization Listing window opens.
  2. From the list, select a service unit authorization to be modified, and then select open menu and select Open.
    The Service Unit Limitation Maintenance window opens.

  3. In the Update Custom Service Configurations section, do the following:
    • In the Service Configurations field, select the configuration for which you want to update Custom Max and Custom Duration.
    • Select the Update Custom option. This option is selected by default.
    • In the Custom Max field, enter a value between 1 and 9999 to override the default Max value.
    • In the Custom Duration Days field, enter a value between 1 and 365 to override the default Duration value.
    • Select Update.
    The Custom Max and Custom Duration values are displayed in the Service Configurations section.
