Encounter List Columns

Column NameColumn Description
Auto Size ColumnAutomatically resizes the column where the cursor is focused to fit the content in the column.
Auto Size All ColumnsAutomatically resizes all columns to fit the content in each column.
Enc NbrDisplays the system-assigned encounter number.
DateDisplays the billable date from the Encounter Maintenance window.
Patient NameDisplays the patient's last, first, and middle names from the Patient Information window.
LocationDisplays the service location from the General tab of the Encounter Maintenance window.
StatusDisplays the abbreviated status for each encounter.
  • A = Bad Debt
  • B = Billed
  • H = History
  • I = In Progress
  • R = Rebill
  • U = Unbilled
Primary PayerDisplays the primary payer linked to each encounter from the Encounter Insurance Selection window.
Financial ClassDisplays the financial class for the primary payer linked to each encounter.
Patient TypeDisplays the patient type from the General tab of the Encounter Maintenance window.
RenderingDisplays the rendering provider from the General tab of the Encounter Maintenance window.
Elig StatusDisplays the eligibility status for encounters where an eligibility request was submitted using NextGen Eligibility Verification.
Elig ResponseDisplays the eligibility response for encounters where an eligibility request was submitted using NextGen Eligibility Verification.
Cnv In ProgDisplays Y for each encounter that has the Convert In Progress check box selected on the General tab of the Encounter Maintenance window.
Recalc FailedDisplays Y for encounters that failed the recalculation process.
RTS Copay StatusDisplays Y or N for encounters where an eligibility request was submitted using NextGen Eligibility Verification.
Enc Age DaysDisplays the Encounter Age in Days for each encounter calculated as [Current Date - Encounter Create Date = Encounter Age Days]
Enc BalanceDisplays the outstanding encounter balance from the Balance Control window.
ProgramThis column is available only if you select the Enable Programs option in Practice Preferences > Programs.

Displays the Program from the General tab of the Encounter Maintenance window.

Patient GroupDisplays the patient group associated to encounters that were created from a group encounter.

Patient groups, group appointments, and group encounters are used with group scheduling in NextGen® Enterprise PM. For more information on group scheduling, refer to the Appointment Scheduling User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise PM .
