Printing and Storing Credit Card Receipts

This section describes the process of printing and storing receipts with an electronic signature for credit card and echeck payments. You can now demand print a receipt for an electronic payment with an electronic signature or without an electronic signature and then store a copy of the receipt within NextGen® Enterprise PM. To utilize this feature, you must enable credit card processing in Practice Preferences. In Practice Preferences Payment Processing, select the check box Enable Credit Card Processing. Void Credit Card and Check Transactions

To void the transaction, delete the transaction from the batch ledger. Credit card transactions can be deleted if both of the following conditions are met: The deleted transaction occurs on the same day as the associated transaction that is posted. The transaction batch is unposted. A transaction in an unposted batch that has been processed with a credit card cannot be edited, but it can be deleted and re-entered as a new payment. An unsettled transaction in an unposted batch can be deleted on the same day as the transaction. The application voids the credit card transaction when you delete a record, and you must run the credit card again when entering the new transaction. After the first day, an unposted transaction is settled and cannot be deleted, so the system credits the transaction. Any posted credit card transaction, regardless of being settled or not, can only be credited. You cannot send voids or credits for ACH (electronic check) transactions or for transactions created as a

Credit Card on File - TSYS Express Processing

TSYS Express processing enables you to store a credit card on file for patient payments by utilizing a unique token ID. This feature expedites the payment process for patients who use a credit card, or FSA/HSA card for payment. All card data is stored on the Account Profile window > Credit Card on File tab. More than one credit card can be stored on the patient's account in NextGen® Enterprise PM Only one credit card can be active A blue push-pin displays on the Credit Card on File tab of the Account Profile window when an active credit card is on file for a patient. Configuration for credit card processing using the VeriFone device involves data set up in Enterprise, Practice, and User preferences. To configure the VeriFone device, perform these procedures in the following order. Enter Credit Card and eCheck Payments in Transaction Entry

All electronic credit card and Echeck payments for clients using TSYS Express must go through the VeriFone device or the TSYS Express webform. The VeriFone device enables you to accept electronic payments when you have an active connection to the internet. You can make electronic credit card and eCheck payments in the following ways: Swipe or insert a credit card on the VeriFone device Key data into the VeriFone device Utilize the Card on File function For details on printing a credit card receipt on the Payment Entry window, see Print a Credit Card Receipt. Reconcile Credit Card Transactions with NG Reports- TSYS Express

The NextGen user ID of the person processing the transaction in the application is sent to TSYS Transaction Express. You can export the TSYS Transaction Express report to an Excel spreadsheet and then reconcile this against the Daily Payment report. Access the TSYS Express website and run their detail report. In NextGen Enterprise PM, select Reports > Daily > By Line Item > Payments. The NextGen Daily by Line Item Paymentis generated. Sort the data by one of the following sort sequences for ease of reconciliation: Creator, Location, and Transaction Codes Run with totals only to reconcile balance by Creator and Location.
