Copy an Appointment

When a patient visits the provider for an event regularly, you can create appointments for a patient by copying an existing appointment and then pasting it into one or more additional time slots. The appointment information from the copied appointment is carried over to the new appointments, and you can modify it as needed. From the Appointment Book or Appointment List window, find the appointment you want to copy. Right-click the appointment and select Copy. The copied appointment icon displays on the status bar at the bottom of the Appointment Book window. Right-click another time slot where you want to add the copied appointment and select Paste. The Edit Appointment window opens. Note: When an appointment is copied from one resource and pasted into a time slot for another resource, both resources are selected on the newly pasted appointment. Add an Appointment

You can schedule an appointment for a resource at a particular time and date. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the main toolbar, select the ApptBook button. The Appointment Book window opens. Note: For a better response time, open the Appointment Scheduling Preferences by selecting and then select Only show my preferred resources in the Resources tab. In the Daily, Weekly Schedule or Multi-View tabs, select a resource, a date, and a time slot to schedule an appointment. To add an appointment, do one of the following: From the Appointment Book toolbar, select the Add Appt button. Right-click the time slot and, select New from the menu. Double-click the time slot. The Add Appointment window opens. Enter the details for the mandatory fields in the Add Appointment window to schedule an appointment. You can schedule an appointment for a patient from the available time slots on the Enterprise Appointment Search Ahead window. On the Enterprise Appointment Search Ahead window, in the Available Timeslots section, right-click or double-click the desired time slot. If you have multiple resources and service locations from various practices for the selected event, you can select on the filter on the Practice column in the Available Timeslots section. The available time slots for the resources and service location of the selected practice lists. The Book Appointment menu appears. Select Book Appointment. Change the Patient Linked to an Appointment

You can remove the current patient linked to the appointment and link a new patient to the same event at the scheduled time. Select the appointment to change the linked patient, and double-click to open the Edit Appointment window. Select the open menu button next to the patient's name and select Clear Patient. A message appears asking you to confirm if you want to delete the linked patient. Select OK to remove the incorrect patient from the appointment. To add the correct patient to the appointment, select the open menu button and select Lookup. The People Lookup window opens. Do one of the following: To select an existing person or patient for the appointment, enter the appropriate search criteria and then select Find.
