View Latest Successful Eligibility Response from Appointment book

Before you begin Submit NextGen® Eligibility Verification request for a patient. See Submit Eligibility Requests. You can view the latest NextGen® Eligibility Verification response from an appointment in the appointment book. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Appbook. The appointment book opens. Locate the appointment for the patient for whom you have submitted the NextGen® Eligibility Verification request and yet to receive the response. Right-click the appointment and select Eligibility Verification > View Latest Successful Response. The system searches for the eligibility response for the latest successful transaction during the time period specified in the user preferences. If the eligibility response is available, the Real-Time Eligibility Response page opens displaying the response for the latest successful transaction. If the eligibility response is not available, a message appears stating that the successful eligibility response for the specified period is not found. Parent top

Before you begin Submit NextGen® Eligibility Verification request for a patient. See Submit Eligibility Requests. To view the latest NextGen® Eligibility Verification response from an appointment in the appointment lookup, do the following: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select ApptList. The Appointment Lookup window opens. Using the search criteria, find the appointment with the NextGen® Eligibility Verification request and yet to receive the response. Right-click the appointment and select Eligibility Verification > View Latest Successful Response. The system searches for the eligibility response for the latest successful transaction during the time period specified in the user preferences. If the eligibility response is available, the Real-Time Eligibility Response page opens displaying the response for the latest successful transaction. If the eligibility response is not available, a message appears stating that the successful eligibility response for the specified period is not found.

Eligibility Responses

The following sections explain the NextGen® Eligibility Verification Response received from the payer. The user interface for Real-Time Eligibility Response is informative and easy to navigate. Color codes and symbols make the data easy to understand and to confirm successful responses like Active, Inactive, and Limited. When a payer returns a Limited response, the message is advising providers to contact the payer with further verification. An example is an eligibility response record with a type 'V' (Cannot Process) is handled like type 'U' (Contact for Verification). You can view the latest successful eligibility response from the payer irrespective of having a pending status transaction for the specified time period (in days) as per user preference . Reconciling Parity Data

The NextGen Healthcare system finds and notify you of any discrepancies in the pregnancy outcomes detail data in a patient chart. If any of this data is not in sync, meaning the pregnancy outcomes detail data in the shared fields on the OBGYN Synopsis and Pregnancy Outcomes templates does not match the pregnancy outcomes detail data in the Pregnancy history grid, you receive an application message. Note that in these cases, auto-calculation continues to function and not turned off. The system changes the color of the fields to yellow to identify the location of the discrepancy in the white editable parity fields. To reconcile the parity data, you must make edits to either the shared fields on the OBGYN Synopsis or Pregnancy Outcomes templates, or to the data in the Pregnancy history grid on the Pregnancy Outcomes template. Identifying Person and Patient

NextGen® Enterprise stores information related to both patients and non-patients. Non-patients are referred as persons in one of the following categories: A new patient who is not yet checked in for the first appointment. A guarantor for a patient in the practice. An emergency contact for a patient in the practice. All persons and patients have demographics records that includes non-clinical information such as their name, date of birth, address, and phone number. Only patients have charts that includes clinical and financial information related to their encounters in the practice. Patients also have medical record number (MRN) assigned to their patient charts. You can use icons to easily identify and distinguish a person from a patient. Alerts icon on the Patient Chart view opens the patient alerts. Globe icon to indicate person on the Patient Chart view indicates that the individual is a person.
