Searching for Appointments

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can use the Appointment Lookup window to search for existing appointments. While scheduling appointments, you can search for the available timeslots in the following locations: The Appointment Search Ahead feature on the Appointment Book window. Task > Appointment Search Ahead. Search from the Appointment Lookup Window You can search for the appointments for a patient to edit, delete, cancel appointments, and so on. Appointment Search Ahead You can search for available time slots for an event, a resource, and a location when you schedule appointments. Enterprise Appointment Search Ahead You can seamlessly search for available time slots and schedule appointments across various practices. Appointment Book Toolbar

The appointment book toolbar includes buttons that are used to perform different actions and functions when scheduling appointments in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Change Date to Schedule Appointments You can change the dates of the appointment schedule for a resource. Parent topic: Appointment Book

You can filter the patients based on the NextGen® Enterprise PM schedule data to support care management work-flows such as care team huddles and pre-visit planning. Note: The Appointment Book tab is not available in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub, if the View access rights for Modules > Medical Records > Patient Appointment is turned off in the System Administrator. You can either use one filter or all the filters on the Appointment Book tab to filter the patients. If you do not select any filter such as locations, date, time, resources, and events, then the system responds as if all the options for the filter were selected. For example, if you do not select locations, then all the locations of that practice appears, relative to other filters selected. Scheduling Operation

Subgroup Used in Description Appointment Book NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to access the Appointment Book, but not to schedule appointments. Appointment Book Multi-view NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to access the Multi-view tab within the Appointment Book. To access the Appointment Book, users must have access to this also. Appointment Search NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to access the Appt List toolbar button to search for scheduled appointments and to print batch fee tickets. The Daily View Tab

You can select which fields display in the Daily View of the Appointment Book. Each item is put on a separate line, so unless you have an appointment that spans four appointment times, you might not be able to view all four data items. Select the check box next to each appointment item to select it; selected items display an X in their check box. These items display in your Daily View appointment dialog box underneath the appointment description for each appointment. To set the display order of the items, highlight one, and then select or to move it up or down. You can arrange the display order of resources in NextGen Enterprise PM so that the ones used frequently by appointment schedulers display at the top of the resource list.
