You can open the Charge Posting window by selecting Charges on the NextGen® Enterprise PM toolbar. You can also access the Charge Posting window from the following areas in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
Appointment Book
Appointment Lookup
Encounter Lookup
Patient Chart
Account Profile
To open the Charge Posting window from Appointment Book, do the following:
From the Appointment Book, locate the desired appointment.
Note: The appointment must be kept with a linked encounter.
Right-click the appointment and select Charges from the menu.
The Charge Posting window opens displaying the patient name and the selected appointment details.
To open the Charge Posting window from the Appointment Lookup window, do the following:
From the NextGen® Enterprise PM toolbar, select the ApptList button.
The Appointment Lookup window opens.
Enter the appropriate Search Criteria to locate the desired appointment.
Select Find.
Note: The appointment must be kept with a linked encounter.
In the Appointment List section, right-click the desired appointment and then select Charges from the menu.
The Charge Posting window opens displaying the patient name and the selected encounter details.
To open the Charge Posting window from the Encounter Lookup window, do the following:
From the NextGen® Enterprise PM toolbar, select Encounter.
The Encounter Lookup window opens.
Enter the appropriate Search Criteria to locate the desired encounter.
Select Find.
In the Encounter List section, right-click the desired encounter and then select Charges from the menu.
The Charge Posting window opens displaying the patient name and the selected encounter details.
To open the Charge Posting window from the Patient Chart, do the following:
Open the Patient Chart.
Select the Encounters tab or the Financial tab.
Right-click the desired encounter and select Charges from the menu.
The Charge Posting window opens displaying the patient name and the selected encounter details.
To open the Charge Posting window from the Account Profile > Invoice tab, do the following:
Open the Account Profile.
Select the Inv Summary tab or the Inv Detail tab.
Right-click the desired invoice and select Charges from the menu.
The Charge Posting window opens displaying the account and invoice details.
