Charge Posting Toolbar

The toolbar on the Charge Posting window includes icons that you can use to perform a variety of actions and functions when working with charges in NextGen® Enterprise PM.

The following table describes the use of each icon available on the Charge Posting toolbar.

Icons	Name	Description
	View Chart	Opens the Patient Chart window for the selected patient.
	Recall	Opens the Recall Plan Maintenance window to add a recall for a patient who has no existing recalls, or the Patient Recall window for a patient who has one or more existing recall.
	Encounter Maintenance	Opens the Encounter Maintenance window for the selected encounter to add the encounter details.
	Encounter Insurance	Opens the Encounter Insurance Selection window for the selected encounter to add insurance to an encounter.
	Patient Insurance - Encounter	Opens the Patient Insurance – Encounter window for the primary payer on the selected encounter.
	Balance Control	Opens the Balance Control window for the selected encounter.
	Patient Balance	Opens the Patient Balance window for the guarantor on the selected encounter.
	Encounter Diagnosis	Opens the Diagnosis Selection window for the selected encounter.
	Claim Edits	Runs Claim Edits on the selected encounter and displays the Claim Production Status report.
	Bill Encounter	Opens the Encounter Bill window to bill the selected encounter.
	New Task	Opens the Add Task window to create a work log task for the selected encounter.
	Print Menu	Prints a fee ticket, form, label, letter, patient data sheet, statement, or encounter bill for the selected encounter.
	Add Transaction	Opens the Payment Entry window to add a transaction to the selected encounter. Note: An active transaction batch must be set.
	Discounts	Opens the Discounts window to add discounts to charges on the selected encounter. Note: This icon is available only if the Enable discounts in charge entry option is enabled in Practice Preferences > Charge Entry.
	CMN Information	Opens the Certificates of Medical Necessity Information window for a payer linked to the selected encounter.
	Recurring Rental Information	Opens the Rental Information Listing window for the selected rental encounter. Note: This button is available only if the Enable Recurring Rental Billing option is enabled in Practice Preferences > Encounters.
	Encounter Mode	You can use Encounter Mode for posting charges on the selected encounter.
	Invoice Mode	You can use Invoice Mode for posting charges on the selected invoice.
	First Charge	Shows the first charge of the selected encounter.
	Prev Charge	Shows the previous charge of the selected encounter.
	Next Charge	Shows the next charge of the selected encounter.
	Last Charge	Shows the last charge of the selected encounter.
	NDC Charges	Opens the NDC Data for this Charge window for a charge on the selected encounter that requires NDC information.
	Test Results	Opens the Test Data for this Charge window for a charge on the selected encounter that requires test results information on electronic 837P (1500) claims.
	Anesthesia Service Information	Opens the Anesthesia Service Information window for the selected encounter. Note: This icon is available only if an Anesthesia Library is selected in Practice Preferences > Libraries.
	Anesthesia Concurrency Audit	Runs Anesthesia Concurrency Audit for the selected encounter and displays the Anesthesia Concurrency Audit report. Note: This icon is available only if an Anesthesia Library is selected in Practice Preferences > Libraries.
	Recalc Enc	Runs the Recalculate In Progress Encounter process on the selected encounter. Note: This icon is available only if the Enable In Progress billing status option is enabled in Practice Preferences > Encounters.
	POS 99 Location Details	Opens the POS Address window to enter the name and address of an unlisted facility where the service is rendered. Note: This icon is available only if Other Unlisted Facility is selected in Place Svc on the Charge Posting window.
	Exit	Closes the Charge Posting window.
