View a Patient's Benefits Details

Note: For a better experience in viewing a patient's preferred or all benefits, use Internet Explorer 10 or later. The Summary section of the Eligibility Verification window includes the following: Preferred Benefits or All Benefits is displayed in the Eligibility Verification window. Preferred Benefits or All Benefits. Preferred benefits refers to the benefits of specific service types that are defined for a patient in Practice Preferences. All benefits refer to information such as type of coverage, in- and out-of-network deductible, copay, and out-of-pocket amounts. Use the toggle key to switch between all benefits and preferred benfits. If a particular service type is defined for a patient in the Practice Preferences window, then the benefits for that service are displayed in preferred benefits. Define Eligibility Preferred Benefit Services

You can define preferred services for a patient which will then show up under preferred benefits. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Admin, and then select Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. From the Preference List, select Eligibility Verification. From the Eligibility Preferred Service Types list, select the service types. These service types are displayed as preferred benefits in the NextGen® Eligibility Verification reports style sheet when you submit a NextGen® Eligibility Verification request. Practice Preferences for Providers

You can set up user-defined patient providers at the practice level that a patient has seen or is scheduled to see. This helps you track multiple user-defined patient providers at the demographic level. The providers you enter here is displayed in the following places: The provider on the Provider Types tab in the Provider master file. Preference Name in the Add Patient Provider window in NextGen® Enterprise PM.

Provider Practice Preferences

The Provider Practice Preferences enable you to set up user-defined patient provider fields that define, at the practice level, the different types of providers that a patient has seen or is scheduled to see. It also enables you to track multiple user-defined patient providers at a demographic level. The information you enter here displays: The provider in the Provider master file on the Provider Types tab. The Preference Name field on the Add Patient Provider window in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
