Provider Practice Preferences

The Provider Practice Preferences enable you to set up user-defined patient provider fields that define, at the practice level, the different types of providers that a patient has seen or is scheduled to see. It also enables you to track multiple user-defined patient providers at a demographic level. Managing Provider Information

The Provider tab appears only when one or more custom User Defined Patient Provider fields have been created in Practice Preferences. Up to 12 patient provider fields can be set up and then used to collect additional provider information for a person or patient. Information on the Provider tab is stored at the practice level; therefore, each practice can enter and maintain different information for a person or patient. Patient Chart Demographics with Providers Report

The Patient Chart Demographics with Providers report pulls patient demographics information and user-defined patient provider information from the Provider tab of the Add/Modify Patient Information window. User Defined Patient Providers are created in Practice Preferences > Provider. Up to 12 provider preference names can be defined. Once created, the Provider tab becomes available on the Add/Modify Patient Information window. Multiple providers can be recorded for a patient, each with a Preference Name, Provider Name, Effective Date, Expiration Date, and Expiration Reason. To access the report in NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Reports menu and select General and then select Patient Chart Demographics with Providers.
