Task Practice Preferences

You can select the fields on the Task Info tab in NextGen® Enterprise PM that are required or have default settings. When a user opens a task or when the task status is set to be completed, selected fields are displayed as required for all task types on Required tab of the Task Type master file. Provider Practice Preferences

The Provider Practice Preferences enable you to set up user-defined patient provider fields that define, at the practice level, the different types of providers that a patient has seen or is scheduled to see. It also enables you to track multiple user-defined patient providers at a demographic level. Wait List Practice Preferences Descriptions

The following table provides descriptions of the fields located in the Wait List Practice Preferences. Field Description Enable Real-Time Waitlist Processing Select this check box to run real-time checks and triggers. Note: When this check box is cleared: checks and triggers run during the nightly process. no tasks generate when users delete appointments. For more information about setting real-time and nightly wait list tasks, see Setting Up Waitlist Tasks. Waitlist Interim Appt Automatic Cancellation Reason Select the default cancellation reason code to use when the Waitlist automatically cancels an interim appointment. Enable Tracking of Appointment Cancellation Reasons in Practice Preferences

Select Admin > Practice > Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Appt Scheduling and then select the check box Track for cancellation reason. The reason for canceling a future appointment is tracked in the system. You must enter a reason for why the appointment is canceled. Select OK.
