Patient Information Bar Practice Preferences

The Patient Information Bar allows you to view patient information as you work and can be viewed in NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM Chart. The Patient Information Bar Practice Preferences enables you to display the Patient Information Bar in NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM Chart. Significant Events Reference List

You can view reports of the significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The reports that display significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM are Significant Events and Significant Event History. You can set up the following significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The events are categorized by enterprise, practice, and system levels. The following table describes the Enterprise Level Significant Events. Field Description Address Changed through "Change of Address Update" Process Tracks address changes that occur due to the Change of Address Update process (InNextGen® Enterprise PM,File menu >Processes>Change of Address Update). Client Defined <1-14> Tracks changes made to the 14 client defined fields in the Modify Patient/Person Information window on the Client Defined tab. Set up Modify Patient Trigger

The Modify Patient action triggers the display of the Update Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR at run time. From the Modify Patient Information window, you can edit patient demographics and other information. The History tab of the window lists the changes you make. If you change the patient's name, the new name appears on the Title bar of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window. The Title bar also displays changes to the patient's date of birth, medical record number, gender, and Social Security number if practice preferences are set to display these fields. A Modify Patient option is also available on the File menu in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application. Enable UDS Fields for the Enterprise

Access NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences, and then Enterprise. The Enterprise Preferences window opens. Select the UDS tab. To enable UDS fields on the Patient Information window for all practices in the enterprise, select the Display person UDS fields check box.
