Patient Information Bar Practice Preferences for NextGen® Enterprise PM

The Patient Information Bar in practice preferences enable you to select whether the Patient Information Bar displays in the Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM and what patient information displays on the bar. You can also configure Practice Preferences to display the Patient Information Bar in Charge Entry and Payment Entry. Patient Demographic Information. Significant Events Reference List

You can view reports of the significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The reports that display significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM are Significant Events and Significant Event History. You can set up the following significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The events are categorized by enterprise, practice, and system levels. Set up Modify Patient Trigger

The Modify Patient action triggers the display of the Update Patient Information window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR at run time. From the Modify Patient Information window, you can edit patient demographics and other information. The History tab of the window lists the changes you make. If you change the patient's name, the new name appears on the Title bar of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window. The Title bar also displays changes to the patient's date of birth, medical record number, gender, and Social Security number if practice preferences are set to display these fields. A Modify Patient option is also available on the File menu in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application. Enable UDS Fields for the Enterprise

Access NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences, and then Enterprise. The Enterprise Preferences window opens. Select the UDS tab. To enable UDS fields on the Patient Information window for all practices in the enterprise, select the Display person UDS fields check box. Significant Events for Charge Discounts

You can enable significant events to track user activity related to charge discounts in NextGen® Enterprise PM. It includes adding, modifying or deleting discounts on an encounter from the Discounts window that is accessed from the Charge Posting toolbar. When significant events are enabled, messages are recorded in the Patient Chart on the Clinical History/Notes tab when the event occurs. Each message recorded includes date/time, creator, and description information. Significant event messages for charge discounts include the following: Records Patient Discount <Name of Discount> Created: when discounts are applied to charges on an encounter. Records Patient Discount < Name of Discount> Deleted (In Progress): when discounts are deleted from charges on an In Progress encounter.
