Set Up Chart Alert Tasks in Auto Worker

You can set up tasks that cause a chart alert to display each time certain conditions are met. These tasks are automatically worked based on the Auto Worker action Add a chart alert with subject<>, expiration date<> and description<>. This action can be added to any task type that has a Chart or Encounter source type. The action automatically creates a chart alert for the source type and marks the task as completed. The completed task then displays in the Worklog and on the Edit Task dialog box in NextGen® Enterprise PM. To set up a task to create chart alerts, perform the following steps: Open or set up new Task Types. On the Task Types dialog box, select the Auto Creation tab. Set Up Tasks for Auto Creation for Transaction Approvals

Before you begin Before you can create a Transaction Approval task type, you must: Set up at least one approval profile in the Task Approval Profiles master file. Turn on transaction notes in the Transactions Practice Preferences. You must enable transaction notes so that transaction approval tasks can automatically create. You can set tasks to automatically generate when management approval is needed for adjustments, payments, and refunds that exceed certain dollar amounts. To set up a task to be automatically generated when a payment is posted, perform the following steps: Open or create a task type. In the Source Type field, select Transaction. This field is required. You can setup a Task Type to automatically generate tasks when a payment or adjustment transaction is posted, either manually or by ERA, to a voided charge. Note: In order for ERA transactions to auto-create tasks, the Post to a voided charge option must be enabled in the Default tab of Remittance Profile Library. Access File Maintenance. Select System Master Files > PM > Tasks Types. The Task Types List window appears. Select the Open Menu button and select New. The Task Types window appears. You can setup a Task Type to automatically generate tasks when a system-level claim edit fails during the Claim Edits process or during the Billing process in NextGen® Enterprise PM. For system-level claim edit failures to auto-create tasks, one or both of the following options must be enabled in Enterprise Preferences on the General tab: Create tasks during claim edits Create tasks during billing process Access File Maintenance. Setup Auto-Create Tasks for Credit Balance Write-Offs

You can setup a Task Type to automatically write-off credit balances that are less than zero at the account or encounter level. After the task is activated, accounts are automatically identified when a guarantor credit meets the defined parameters. This occurs when the third party balance is zero. Then the application automatically writes-off the credit balances. Access File Maintenance System Master Files > PM > Tasks Types. The Task Types List window appears.
