Set Up Tasks for Auto Creation for Posted Payment Reason Codes
You can set up tasks to be automatically generated when a reason code is used on a posted payment or on a posted payment transaction. When set up, these tasks are not created until a payment is posted. To set up a task to be automatically generated when a payment is posted, perform the following steps: Open or set up new Task Types. In the Source Type field, select Encounter. This field is required. A list of task action descriptions for the Encounter source type display in the Action column. the items in the list represent events that occur in the application that you can select to automatically generate tasks. If you want to assign a value to the task for reporting purposes, select the up and down arrows in the Task Value field. The higher the number, the more important the task is. This number ranks all of the tasks by source type. Therefore, if you have three tasks with a source type of encounter and they have task values of 1, 5, and 10, the task with a task value of 10 is more im

Set Up Chart Alert Tasks in Auto Worker
You can set up tasks that cause a chart alert to display each time certain conditions are met. These tasks are automatically worked based on the Auto Worker action Add a chart alert with subject<>, expiration date<> and description<>. This action can be added to any task type that has a Chart or Encounter source type. The action automatically creates a chart alert for the source type and marks the task as completed. The completed task then displays in the Worklog and on the Edit Task dialog box in NextGen® Enterprise PM. To set up a task to create chart alerts, perform the following steps: Open or set up new Task Types. On the Task Types dialog box, select the Auto Creation tab. Task Types
Task types enable you to organize and manage tasks that are performed at your practice. They identify tasks according to the type of activity performed within a specific part of the application. You specify the part of the application (the Source Type) where the activity is performed. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, task types are used in the Worklog. To set up task types, perform the following steps: From the Master Files - System list, select System or PM > Task Types. The Task Types window displays. Select the Open Menu button on the Task Types list and select New. Enter a description of the task in the Task Type field. This is a required field. In the Source Type field, select the area of the application that the task applies to. This is a required field. Valid source types include: Account Appointment Appointment Request Appointment Waitlist Encounter Chart Invoice Transaction User Select the up and down arrows in the Task Value field to assign a value to the task. Set Up a Workable Task
Open a task type with a source type of Encounter, Chart, or Appointment. The Task Types window displays. On the Options tab, select the Workable Task check box. When selected, this check box: Enables you to configure the task into the AutoFlow. Enables users to access this task type from the Work Task right-click option on the Work Tasks window. Select OK. To include the workable tasks in the AutoFlow, open the AutoFlow Sequences master file, and then select the Workable Tasks option to include in the Autoflow Sequence. The option makes the Work Tasks dialog box display to users during AutoFlow. Select OK. To allow users to return to AutoFlow after they complete all tasks, open the AutoFlow practice preferences, and then select the Enable AutoFlow button after workable tasks have been completed check box. After users complete the tasks from the Work Tasks window, the AutoFlow button becomes enabled so they can return to the AutoFlow. Select OK. Parent topic: Workable Task

Workable Task
NextGen® Enterprise PM users can access workable tasks in Worklog or during AutoFlow in the Work Tasks window where they can view the appointment request details. They can copy the appointment request data and paste it as a new appointment into the appointment book or they can book the appointment through appointment search ahead. Note: Tasks that are set up as workable tasks with a source type of Encounter, Chart, or Appointment are displayed during auto-flow and from the right-click > Work Tasks menu option. Designate a Visit Type
You can designate if you want a task to fire only on specific visit types. In the Task Visit Types grid, add the visit types you want the task to fire on. Select the Add button to save the visit types to the grid. If no visit types are added to the grid, the system sends that task when needed regardless of the visit type.
