Appointment Request Task Setup

Set Up a Workable Task
Open a task type with a source type of Encounter, Chart, or Appointment. The Task Types window displays. On the Options tab, select the Workable Task check box. When selected, this check box: Enables you to configure the task into the AutoFlow. Enables users to access this task type from the Work Task right-click option on the Work Tasks window. Select OK. To include the workable tasks in the AutoFlow, open the AutoFlow Sequences master file, and then select the Workable Tasks option to include in the Autoflow Sequence. The option makes the Work Tasks dialog box display to users during AutoFlow. Note: For information about setting up an AutoFlow sequence, see the information about the Autoflow Sequences master file. Select OK. To allow users to return to AutoFlow after they complete all tasks, open the AutoFlow practice preferences, and then select the Enable AutoFlow button after workable tasks have been completed checkbox. Set Up a Workable Task

Workable Task
NextGen® Enterprise PM users can access workable tasks in Worklog or during AutoFlow in the Work Tasks window where they can view the appointment request details. They can copy the appointment request data and paste it as a new appointment into the appointment book or they can book the appointment through appointment search ahead. Note: Tasks that are set up as workable tasks with a source type of Encounter, Chart, or Appointment are displayed during auto-flow and from the right-click > Work Tasks menu option. Designate a Visit Type
You can designate if you want a task to fire only on specific visit types. In the Task Visit Types grid, add the visit types you want the task to fire on. Select the Add button to save the visit types to the grid. If no visit types are added to the grid, the system sends that task when needed regardless of the visit type.
