Search for an ASA/Surgery Code Crosswalk

Use the following procedure to search for an existing ASA/surgery code crosswalk from the Crosswalk Library Search window:

  1. In the Search Method section at the top of the window, select one of the following buttons:
    • Anes. Code (default): To search for a crosswalk using the anesthesia CPT code.
    • Anes. Description: To search for a crosswalk using the description of the anesthesia CPT code.
    • Surg. Code: To search for a crosswalk using the surgical procedure CPT code.
    • Surg. Description: To search for a crosswalk using the description of the surgical procedure CPT code.

  2. Select the Search for keyphrase anywhere in the item check box to search for the text entered in the Type the first letter(s) of the item you want to locate field anywhere in the line item.
    If endoscopy is entered and the check box is not selected, the search identifies line items with descriptions that start the word endoscopy. If the check box is selected, the search identifies line items with descriptions that start with or contain the word endoscopy.
  3. In the Type the first letter(s) of the item you want to locate field, do one of the following:
    • If searching by Anes Code or Surg Code, enter all or part of the CPT code.
    • If searching by Anes Description or Surg Description, enter all or part of the CPT description.
    The first line item, or row, that matches the search criteria entered is highlighted at the bottom of the window.
