Search for an ASA or Surgery Code Crosswalk

Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then select ASA Crosswalk. The ASA Crosswalk List window opens. Do one of the following: To create a new library, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an existing library, select the library from the list, and then select open menu , and then select Open. The Crosswalk Library Search window opens. In Search Method, select one of the following: To search for a crosswalk using the anesthesia CPT code, select Anes. Code (default). To search for a crosswalk using the description of the anesthesia CPT code, selectAnes. Description. To search for a crosswalk using the surgical procedure CPT code, select Surg. Code. To search for a crosswalk using the description of the surgical procedure CPT code, selectSurg. Description. Select Search for keyphrase anywhere in the item to search for the text entered in Type the first letter(s) of the item you want to locate in the line item. Import an ASA Crosswalk File

You must first obtain the Microsoft Excel® file for the current year from the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and then download and save it to a local directory. The Microsoft Excel® file can then be imported into an ASA Crosswalk library in File Maintenance. Use the following procedure to import an ASA Crosswalk file in Excel comma delimited (.csv) format. Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then select ASA Crosswalk. The ASA Crosswalk List window opens. From the list, select the library where you want to import the Microsoft Excel® (.csv) file. Right-click the library, and then select ASA Crosswalk Import. The Import ASA Crosswalk Data window opens. Import an ASA Crosswalk Data window for importing an ASA crosswalk file In ASA Crosswalk Comma Delimited Input File, select Open Folder . The Open window opens. Add or Modify an ASA Crosswalk Library

Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then select ASA Crosswalk. The ASA Crosswalk List window opens. Do one of the following: To create a new library, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an existing library, select the library from the list, and then select open menu , and then select Open. The Crosswalk Library Search window opens. In Library Name, enter a name for the library. In Effective Date, enter the date the library becomes effective. In Expiration Date, enter the date the library expires. Add or modify ASA and Surgery code combinations as needed. Select OK. Set Up ASA Crosswalk Codes The ASA Crosswalk functionality can be setup and used during charge posting with either basic anesthesia billing or anesthesia concurrency billing. Import an ASA Crosswalk File You can create an ASA Crosswalk library automatically by importing a file obtained from the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) that includes all anesthesia or surgery code combinations.
