The Daily View Tab

You can select which fields display in the Daily View of the Appointment Book. Each item is put on a separate line, so unless you have an appointment that spans four appointment times, you might not be able to view all four data items. Select the check box next to each appointment item to select it; selected items display an X in their check box. These items display in your Daily View appointment dialog box underneath the appointment description for each appointment. To set the display order of the items, highlight one, and then select or to move it up or down. You can arrange the display order of resources in NextGen Enterprise PM so that the ones used frequently by appointment schedulers display at the top of the resource list. Tooltip Tab

Tooltips enable users to easily view key information about appointments. The tooltips display in NextGen® Enterprise PM when the user hovers the mouse cursor over an appointment. The items selected on the Tooltip tab of the User Appointment Scheduling Preferences determine which information displays in the tooltip. Open a User Prefs - Scheduling master file. The Default User Preferences - Scheduling window opens. Select the Tooltip tab. In the Display after field, select the number of seconds you want to pass before the tooltips appears. Select the tooltips that you want to appear. Note: The Eligibility Process Status and Response Status items are related to NextGen® Eligibility Verification. To change the order of the tooltip items in the list, highlight one, and then select or to move it up or down. You can also use the double arrows to move the tooltip to the top or bottom of the list. Multi View Tab

On the Multi View tab, you can establish which default resources users can schedule. You can also determine the order that the resources appear in on the multi-view window and how many display in the multi-user window at one time. NextGen® Enterprise PM already has a default multi-view group that you can rename, or you can add more groups. You must always have at least one group set up. Set Scheduling Preferences for Resources

You can customize the display order of resources on the following windows in NextGen® Enterprise PM: Appointment Lookup Appointment Search Ahead Patient Wait List Item Recall Plan Maintenance Appointment Reminders If no selections are made in the Preferred resources of the Resources tab, all resources appear in alphabetic alphabetical order on the above windows. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > Scheduling. The Appointment Scheduling Preferences window opens. Select the Resources tab. To set the display order for your preferred resources, select a resource, and then select the promote or demote buttons to move the resource up or down in the list. Set Up Preferred Appointment Scheduling Resources

Open a User Prefs - Scheduling master file. The Default User Preferences - Scheduling window opens. Select the Resources tab. To set the display order of the resources, highlight a resource in the Preferred resources section, and then select or to move it up or down. You can also use the double arrows to move it to the top or bottom of the list. If you want users to see only the preferred resources, select the Only show my preferred resources check box, and then select the preferred resources in the Preferred resources section. In the Default resource(s)/class for Appt Search section, select the resources to display and use as the default resources for any appointment search. Select OK. Parent topic: Resources Tab

View Provider or Resource Appointments

If you have NextGen® Enterprise PM selected as the scheduling source, you can view appointments for providers or by resources. Note: These views are available only if you select NextGen® Enterprise PM as the scheduling source. From the Appointments menu, select View by Resource or View by Provider. The appointments list displays appointments for the selected resources or providers. View by Provider is selected by default. If the selected provider is not connected to a resource in NextGen® Enterprise PM, an error message appears. Providers are linked with resources in NextGen® Enterprise PM.
