Open the Orders Module

You can open the Orders module from Top Toolbar in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to create and manage your orders . You can also access orders from the applicable templates if you are using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to place orders. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window opens. To open the Orders module, do one of the following: Select Orders on the Quick Buttons panel. Customizing Intial View of the Orders Module

For more information on the Orders module, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Orders Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Set Up Rights for the Orders Module

To be able to use all of the features in the Orders module, settings in System Administrator have to be set. When set to Yes, it gives system users the rights to create and save orders and perform other functions through the Orders module. CAUTION: If users can access the Medical Records template with the Trend Results order control, they are able to view a patient’s test results. If your practice determines only certain users should be able to view a patient’s test results when they access the Medical Records template, you can set up the applicable Modules, Templates-Medical Records permissions in the System Administrator application. Orders Module Practice Preferences

You can set a number of practice preferences for the Orders module in NextGen® Enterprise. From the Application Launcher, select File Maintenance > System > Practice Preferences. On Preferences List, select the Orders Module. For information about the Order module settings, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Orders Module Setup Guide for NextGen Enterprise EHR. Customize the Initial Tab View in the Orders Module

When you open the Orders module, the Results tab appears by default. You can set up a user preference to display a different tab as the default. For more information on Orders user preferences, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Layout and Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Main menu, select Tools > Preferences. The Preferences window opens. In the General tab, under the Orders section, in the Initial View list, select one of the following: Results Flowsheet Orders Summary Immun - Chart Immun - Recommendation Immun - Registry Select Apply and then OK. Access the Graphing Module

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open a patient. For more information on opening a patient, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Patient Demographics Guide for NextGen Enterprise. From the File menu, select Graph.
