Rename RVU Labels in the RVU Library

You can change the labels of the RVU fields in the RVU library. Open an RVU library. On the RVU Library Maintenance window, select the Labels tab. The Labels tab displays RVU fields. Enter new names in the fields for RVU 1, RVU 2, and so on as needed, and then select OK. The labels display on the General tab of the RVU Library Maintenance window and are used in the Service Items libraries for the SIM RVU update and the SIM Global Update. If there is no name in a field, the label displays with the default name in those locations. For example, if the RVU 5 field is blank, RVU5 is used in its place. Note: When the labels names are used in reports, they display with the default names of RVU1, RVU2, and so on. Parent topic: RVU Library

Service Item Library Maintenance Field Descriptions

The following table describe the fields for setting up a Service Item Library. Field Description Search You can search for any specific SIM. If there are less than 50 SIM items defined in the SIM Library, all active SIM items automatically appear in the Search list. If there are more than 50 SIM items defined in the SIM Library, the SIM codes do not appear automatically. You must manually enter the SIM code or the first few digits of the code in the Search field. To find a specific SIM, enter the SIM code. To list all existing SIMs, enter an asterisk. SIM Library Name SIM Library name is a required field. Service Item For a new SIM, you can enter meaningful service item numbers and descriptions to correlate to the appropriate CPT4 code. This field is required. When you search for a SIM, this field displays the SIM that you search for. You can also select the open menu button, select New, and then enter a new service item Number. Hide SIM You can select this check box to hide the SIM. I

SIM Pricing Template Library Field Descriptions

Use the following table as a reference when you add or modify service items. Section Description Search Located on the left side of the dialog box, this section enables you to search for specific SIM. If there are fewer than 50 SIM items defined in the SIM Library, all active SIM items automatically display in the Search list. If there are more than 50 SIM items defined in the SIM Library, the SIM codes do not automatically display. Service Swap Library Field Descriptions

Field Description Search Searches for any specific Service Item (SIM) and all active SIM items automatically appear in the Search list, you must manually enter the SIM code, or the first few digits of the code in Search. SIM Library Name SIM Library Name is a mandatory field that denotes the name of the SIM library. Service Swap Item Service swap item numbers and descriptions that correspond to the appropriate SIM code. When searching for a SIM, this field displays the SIM searched for. This is a mandatory field. Org SIM Original SIM number. Swap SIM SIM number to be swapped with original SIM number. Effective Date The date you want the SIM codes to become active. Create a Service Item Library

The Service Item Libraries are created using File Maintenance. Select File Maintenance > Libraries > Service Items. Select the Open Menu button and select New. Enter a name for this library in the SIM Library Name field. Select OK. The service item library is created. Set Up the Service Item Library

In Libraries, select Service Items. Double-click on the applicable Service Item Library or select open menu button, and then select New. The Service Item Library Maintenance window opens. Complete the fields to set up the library.
