The data you set up for this master file is used by the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Integrated Equipment Module (IEM). For information on using the Integrated Equipment Module, refer to the Integrated Equipment Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can also map equipment fields to templates for items other than integrated equipment, such as HFA interface or NextGen® Optical Management.
The
Equipment Field Map master file enables you to retrieve readings from integrated equipment that is interfaced with
NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically. The readings display in the Extended Medical Record Popup Template. The benefit of the
Equipment Field Map master file is that the data captured from medical equipment can be automatically saved to a specified template instead of being manually entered. The copying of data to the template occurs whenever an equipment report is saved to or deleted from
NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
Note: This feature is optional; you do not need to copy the data fields to a template because the data is always available for viewing via the View Report button on the Equipment Summary window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You cannot add equipment reports from File Maintenance. You can only map fields to installed equipment. The Interface Support Team installs new interfaces and reports.
