Equipment Field Map Master File

The data you set up for this master file is used by the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Integrated Equipment Module (IEM). For information on using the Integrated Equipment Module, refer to the Integrated Equipment Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can also map equipment fields to templates for items other than integrated equipment, such as HFA interface or NextGen® Optical Management. The Equipment Field Map master file enables you to retrieve readings from integrated equipment that is interfaced with NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically. The readings display in the Extended Medical Record Popup Template. The benefit of the Equipment Field Map master file is that the data captured from medical equipment can be automatically saved to a specified template instead of being manually entered. The copying of data to the template occurs whenever an equipment report is saved to or deleted from NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: This feature is optional; you do not need to copy the data

Equipment Field Map Field Descriptions

Use the table below to select the templates and map the fields to the appropriate Equipment Field Map. Field Description Template Type Select an available Popup template. You can only map one template to any given equipment report. Template Name Select the specific template you want to use for all orders of the type you selected. Parent Template Select an available Parent (Medical Record) template that launches the Popup template. Note: The Parent Template field is enabled only on template types that require it, such as Extended Popup templates. Rx Template Select an available Rx (prescription order) template. Equipment Field Lists the data fields that can be used in the equipment report (sorted alphabetically). Data Type Lists the data type of the selected Equipment Field. In some Equipment Fields, you can select the data type if they can be mapped to more than one kind of template field. Equipment Field Mapping

In File Maintenance, you can manage data that is linked from equipment interfaced with NextGen® Enterprise EHR to the Extended Medical Record Popup Template, and display the installed equipment reports. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Equipment Field Map. The Equipment Field Map List window displays a list of reports for installed integrated equipment. If no equipment is installed, the list is empty. Double-click a report in the list to open it. The Equipment Field Map window opens and displays the report details.
