Statement Messages Master File
The Statement Messages master file is used to create the various individual dunning messages that print on detail statements for an outstanding insurance balance on a charge line item. When you create individual dunning messages, they are grouped together in Statement Library based on the age of the outstanding insurance balance or based on the statement counter (the number of statements sent) for the outstanding insurance balance. Libraries are then linked to a financial class in the Statement Parameter Mappings master file. Add or Modify Statement Messages You can add a statement message in the Statement Message List window and you can modify the existing statement messages in the Modify Statement Message window. Set up Budget Statement Library
You can set up messages that appear on statements based on budget status. For each budget statement, you can select the budget statements that have been created in the Budget Statement Messages master file to appear on the statement.

Add or Modify Diagnosis Statuses
The Diagnosis Statuses master file enables you to set up the statuses for diagnosed conditions based on user-defined criteria. This master file provides a complete list of statuses of diagnosed conditions in the database. This is a user-defined table. From the Master Files - System list, select Diagnosis Status. The Diagnosis Statuses List window opens. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. You can also double-click to open the item. The Add/Modify Diagnosis Status Information window opens. Enter a full description of diagnosis status in the Description field. Note: It is strongly recommended that you set up the first record for status with a description like None or something similar. Setting Up Statement Messages
Statement Messages involve the following set up in File Maintenance. Create individual messages in the Statement Messages master file. Create Statement libraries to group individual messages together based on either aging or statement counter. Link primary, secondary and tertiary libraries to a specific financial class in the Statement Parameter Mappings master file. Link primary, secondary and tertiary libraries to a specific payer in the Payers master file. Statement Parameter Mappings Master File
The Statement Parameter Mappings master file is used to link Statement libraries to a financial class based on whether payers in the financial class are primary, secondary or tertiary on encounters.
