Set up Budget Statement Library
For each budget statement, you can select the budget statements that have been created in the Budget Statement Messages master file to appear on the statement.
- Open File Maintenance.
- Select Libraries, and then select Budget Statement.
The Budget Statement library List window opens.
- Select Open Menu
, and then select New.
The Budget Statement Library window opens. - Enter a name for the Budget Library in the Name field, and then enter any notes associated with the library in the Note field.
- For each budget status, select the budget message to appear on the statement.
- Select When an insurance payment is posted, use the statements message on the next statement if the balance is transferred to the patient, if you want the message to appear on the patient statement after an insurance payment is posted and the balance is shifted to the patient.
- Select Print the short statement message next to each charge on the statement, if you want the short message to print next to each charge on a statement.
- Select Print the long statement message at the end of the statement and reference the message using the statement code on the line item to appear at the end of the statement and if you want each line item in the statement to refer the message by its statement code.
- Select OK.
