Add or Modify Statement Messages

  1. Open File Maintenance.
  2. Select System Master Files > PM > Statement Messages.
    The Statement Messages List window opens.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To add a new statement message, select the Open Menu button and select New.
    • To modify an existing statement message, select the item in the list. Select the Open Menu button, and then select Open.
    The Modify Statement Message window opens.
  4. In the Message Code field, enter a code for the message being defined. The code prints on detail statements next to the charge line item and in front of the Brief Statement Message and/or Long Statement Message. This field is required.
  5. In the Description (Message Name) field, enter a description for the message being defined. The description is not printed on statements. This field is required.
  6. In the Brief Statement Message (Line-Item Message) field, enter a short message to print on detail statements next to the charge line item.
  7. In the Long Statement Message (Body Message) field, enter a long message to print in the body of detail statements after the last encounter listed.
  8. In the Note field, enter any additional information for the message being defined. The note does not print on statements.
  9. Select OK.
