Set up Budget Statement Library
You can set up messages that appear on statements based on budget status. For each budget statement, you can select the budget statements that have been created in the Budget Statement Messages master file to appear on the statement.

Set up Budget Statement Library
For each budget statement, you can select the budget statements that have been created in the Budget Statement Messages master file to appear on the statement. Open File Maintenance. Select Libraries, and then select Budget Statement. The Budget Statement library List window opens. Select Open Menu, and then select New. The Budget Statement Library window opens. Enter a name for the Budget Library in the Name field, and then enter any notes associated with the library in the Note field. For each budget status, select the budget message to appear on the statement. Note: You must create budget statements in the Budget Statements Messages master file. Select When an insurance payment is posted, use the statements message on the next statement if the balance is transferred to the patient, if you want the message to appear on the patient statement after an insurance payment is posted and the balance is shifted to the patient. Setting Up Statement Messages
Statement Messages involve the following set up in File Maintenance. Create individual messages in the Statement Messages master file. Create Statement libraries to group individual messages together based on either aging or statement counter. Link primary, secondary and tertiary libraries to a specific financial class in the Statement Parameter Mappings master file. Link primary, secondary and tertiary libraries to a specific payer in the Payers master file. Statement Messages Master File
The Statement Messages master file is used to create the various individual dunning messages that print on detail statements for an outstanding insurance balance on a charge line item. When you create individual dunning messages, they are grouped together in Statement Library based on the age of the outstanding insurance balance or based on the statement counter (the number of statements sent) for the outstanding insurance balance. Libraries are then linked to a financial class in the Statement Parameter Mappings master file.
