Sorting and Grouping Report Data

From the Sorting option in the Report Filter window Settings List, you can sort and group the rows in a report to determine the order that report information appears. The list position indicates the sorting priority. The arrows move the columns names up or down the list. The report sorts the items higher in the list first. For example, if a report has the columns Prac Name column is first in the list and Loc Name column is second, the report sorts according to the practice name and then by location name. For more information on the different columns, see Sort Report Data section. Note: Sort order does not affect column order in the report. Select Report Columns

The Columns filter in the Report Filter displays a list of the available column names. You can select which columns to display on the report and their order. In the Report Filter, select Columns. Select the check boxes next to the desired column names and deselect any columns you do not wish to include. To change a column's position on the report, select the column name to highlight it, and then select the appropriate arrow to move the name up or down in the list. The columns in the list print from left to right, so moving a name up in the list shifts it further to the left of the report and moving it down shifts it closer to the right. Setting Report Columns and Filters

Reports have columns and filters that you can use to customize the data and format. The filter criteria available to you depend on the report you are creating. Once you've set your report filters, you can memorize it (see Memorizing Reports) so the report is readily available at any time. You can modify reports by: Adding and removing columns. Selecting different sorting and grouping orders. Selecting new ways of totaling the columns. Modifying the criteria used for each report that you generate, such as specific date ranges for a particular rendering physician. Some common elements display in the Report Filter window for each report. For example, all filters have similar filter options in the Settings List such as Columns, Filter 1, Filter 2, and Sorting. If a filter option is not available, then it does not apply to the report. Open Report Filter In Report Filter, you can set your report criteria, such as date ranges and statuses. To manually adjust a column's width select the column's right diamond and drag it to the right to widen or drag it to the left to narrow the column. To automatically adjust all column widths, select Autosize on the Report toolbar. To add a column, select the column from the Report Filter window Columns filter option. To remove a column do one of the following: In the report display, select the column's right diamond and drag to the left until it touches the left diamond.
