Add or Modify Diagnosis Statuses

The Diagnosis Statuses master file enables you to set up the statuses for diagnosed conditions based on user-defined criteria. This master file provides a complete list of statuses of diagnosed conditions in the database. This is a user-defined table. From the Master Files - System list, select Diagnosis Status. The Diagnosis Statuses List window opens. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. You can also double-click to open the item. The Add/Modify Diagnosis Status Information window opens. Enter a full description of diagnosis status in the Description field. Note: It is strongly recommended that you set up the first record for status with a description like None or something similar. Providers Master File

In the Providers master file, you can set up providers who offer a service or refer a patient for a service. You can set the access right for the Provider master file to read-only for user groups. The setting prevents the user group from modifying the master file. For more information on setting up rights and permissions, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise and see Rights and Permissions section. On the Providers List window, you can see the Rendering, Providers and National Provider ID columns. Rendering providers are indicated by a checkmark in the Rendering column. You can set providers as rendering on the Add/Modify Provider Information window of the Practice tab. The National Provider ID column displays the NPI number linked to the provider. Create and Assign User Note Descriptions

User note descriptions are saved text that you can insert into a note that you create in the NextGen® Enterprise PM, NextGen® Enterprise EHR, or NextGen® Document Management applications. An enterprise user can add only the user note descriptions that are created solely for their use. Open File Maintenance. Under System in Master Files, select Document Management, and then select User Note Descriptions. The User Note Descriptions List window opens. Double-click the user you want to assign user note descriptions to. The Modify User Note Descriptions window opens. In the Description column, enter the text you want to add to notes. To set which applications the description text is available in, add or remove check marks in the applicable columns, and then select. Add an Image to a Category

Before you begin You must have the necessary user rights to add an image to a category. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Categories tab, you can add an image to multiple categories, and you can remove an image from a category. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To open the Images module, do one of the following: On the Top Toolbar, select the Images icon. On the main menu, select File > New > Image. The Open Image File window opens. Open Image File Window Select the required image, and select Open. The image opens. On the Top Toolbar, select Save. Add or Modify External Systems for Master List Items

You can use the External tab to define a cross-reference for the master list item in NextGen® Enterprise to the ID for the item in the external system. Open File Maintenance, and select Master Lists. In Master List, select a master list table. The items within the master list appear. Double-click a master list item. The Modify [Master List] Information window opens. To add or modify external systems for master lists, from the External tab, do one of the following: To open the Add External Interface window and add an item, select open menu , and then select New. Set Up Remote Connections

The Remote Connections master file enables you to specify the parameters of the network connection between the central NextGen® Document Management installation and remote NextGen® Document Management locations. To add or modify a remote connection: From the Master Files > System list, select Remote Connections. The Remote Connections List window displays. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select Open Menu , and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select Open Menu , and then select Open.
