Add or Modify the User Image Descriptions

The User Image Description master file provides a list of image descriptions in the database in relation to each specific NextGen user. The Images table is user-defined. To modify a user image description, perform the following steps: From the List Access dialog box, select a user name in the list, select the Open Menu button, then select Open. The Modify Image Description Information window displays. Field Description User Displays the user name you selected. Description Displays any previously entered descriptions. Do one of the following: To add a new description, select the Open Menu button, then select New. To modify a description, select the item in the list, select the Open Menu button, then select Open. Quick File Hot Keys

The Quick File Hot Keys master file enables you to configure the Quick File entries that appear at the top of the File window when Quick File is activated in NextGen Document Management. Each entry you make in the Quick File Hot Keys master file contains the predetermined filing information that you can apply to a document or image by selecting the applicable Quick File listing. This saves you the time it would take to enter the filing information manually for each image in the batch. With the Quick File feature, you need to only select the appropriate Quick File listing for each document in the batch. To set up quick file hot keys: In File Maintenance, access Master Files > System or PM or Document Management > Quick File Hot Keys. The Quick File Hot Keys List window opens. Select the Open Menu button and select New. The Hot Keys window opens. Enter a name for the hot key in the Hot Key Description field. Note: The Hot Key Description field has a limit of 64 characters. User note descriptions are saved text that you can insert into a note that you create in the NextGen® Enterprise PM, NextGen® Enterprise EHR, or NextGen® Document Management applications. An enterprise user can add only the user note descriptions that are created solely for their use. Open File Maintenance. Under System in Master Files, select Document Management, and then select User Note Descriptions. The User Note Descriptions List window opens. Add an Image to a Category

Before you begin You must have the necessary user rights to add an image to a category. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR Categories tab, you can add an image to multiple categories, and you can remove an image from a category. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To open the Images module, do one of the following: On the Top Toolbar, select the Images icon. On the main menu, select File > New > Image. The Open Image File window opens. Open Image File Window Select the required image, and select Open. The image opens. On the Top Toolbar, select Save. Add or Modify External Systems for Master List Items

You can use the External tab to define a cross-reference for the master list item in NextGen® Enterprise to the ID for the item in the external system. Open File Maintenance, and select Master Lists. In Master List, select a master list table. The items within the master list appear. Double-click a master list item. The Modify [Master List] Information window opens.
