Add or Modify Diagnosis Statuses

The Diagnosis Statuses master file enables you to set up the statuses for diagnosed conditions based on user-defined criteria. This master file provides a complete list of statuses of diagnosed conditions in the database. This is a user-defined table. From the Master Files - System list, select Diagnosis Status. The Diagnosis Statuses List window opens. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. You can also double-click to open the item. The Add/Modify Diagnosis Status Information window opens. Enter a full description of diagnosis status in the Description field. Note: It is strongly recommended that you set up the first record for status with a description like None or something similar. The Diagnosis Severities master file enables you to set up levels that indicate the severity of a patient's diagnosed condition. Diagnosis Severity is based on user-defined criteria. This master file should contain a comprehensive list of severities. From the Master Files - System list, select Diagnosis Severity. The Diagnosis Severities List window opens. Do one of the following: To add a new item, select open menu , and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select open menu , and then select Open. Diagnosis Categories Search

From the Master Files - System list, select Diagnosis Categories. The Diagnosis Categories List window opens. To add a new diagnosis category, select Open Menu , then select New. To search for an existing diagnosis category to modify, follow the steps below: In the List Search field, enter what you want to search for. The matching results are listed. Note: You can enter an asterisk ( * ) to see all the records. Double-click the diagnosis category you want to view. The Add/Modify Diagnosis Category Information window opens. Enter a name for the diagnosis category in the Category field. Enter a four-digit abbreviation for the diagnosis category in the Short Description field. To add an ICD code and description select Open Folder . The ICD Codes window opens. To add a code to the category, select the code in the Available list, then select the Include . The code moves from the Available list to the Included list. If necessary, select either 09 or 10 in the Show field to display only ICD9

Select Diagnosis Data

Select Diagnosis from the Report Filter Settings List. Report Filter Select to display the Diagnosis Search window. Diagnosis Search Select the pertinent Library. To further narrow your search, select the Category. Select whether you wish to search by ICD or Dx Code. Enter a Diagnosis search criterion. Note: Make sure to use the proper ICD Code for your search. If your Practice is using the decimal ICD Code, make sure to enter the ".". Select Search. Select the desired Diagnoses. Select OK. The selected diagnoses display in the Diagnosis Search pane. Select whether to Include or Exclude the displayed diagnoses. Select whether to display patients who have had problems within specific date criteria, for example: Patients who have never had the problem before or after a specific date or between a specific date range. Patients who have ever had a problem before or after a specific date. Patients who have not had this problem since a specific date. To select a date range, check Who Have Eve
