Before you begin You must do the following: Select the Delete Pages operation right in System Administrator. Set up the hard delete feature in File Maintenance. On the NextGen® Document Management image viewer, you can rearrange the document pages, and hide a document page and an image without deleting it from the document. You can also copy a page from one document to another document. To rearrange the document pages from the image viewer, right-click the document, and then select Move > Page To. In Move Page To, enter the page number you want to move to, and then select OK. To hide a page, from the image viewer toolbar, move to the document page or image that you want to hide, and then select the hide icon.You can also right-click and select Show Hidden Pages to show the hidden pages or images in the document. Configure Operation Rights for Imaging Tasks
You can configure the image-related functions that a group of users can perform in NextGen® Document Management. Open System Administrator. Select a user group, and then select the Rights tab. In Master Files, select System, PM, or Document Management, and then select Practices. The Practices List window opens. In the Practices list, double-click a practice. The Modify Practice Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Practice Preferences window opens. In Preferences List, select Imaging. Expand OPERATIONS, and then expand Imaging. In the Access Rights section, select Yes.You can select No to deny the selected operation right for the user group. Operation Right Action Users Can Perform Access Secured Image Batches Access image batches that are locked to another user. Annotate Add text to documents and images in NextGen® Document Management. Batch Posting Post a batch of documents and images in NextGen® Document Management. Batch Scanning Scan a batch of documents and images in NextGen® Document Management. Create Quick Note Create quick notes and attach them to documents or pages. Custom Chart Create a customized chart. Delete Batch Delete the non-posted batches in NextGen® Document Management. Delete Document Delete documents in NextGen® Document Management. Delete Page Delete a page from a batch before it is posted. This right also controls whether you can move a page to another batch.
