Set the Font for Data Fields
Right-click the data field.
Select
Font
and one of the following options:
All Data Fields
– This option applies the font settings to all available data fields within the form or label
Current Data Field
- This option applies the font settings only to highlighted data fields within the form or label
Free Text
- This option applies the font settings to free text entered within the form or label
Highlighted Data Fields
- This option applies the font settings to all highlighted data fields within the form or label
Note:
To select multiple data fields, hold the SHIFT key and then select the data fields with the mouse cursor.

Capitalizing Data Fields on Form or Label Templates
You can format the case of text in form and label template data fields. Format options include lowercase, uppercase, or initial uppercase (default format). Right-click the data field that you want to change, and then select the option you want to use. A check mark displays next to the option you selected and the text case of the selected data field changes. In the example below, UpperCase is selected, which is shown by the check mark and the uppercase text of the selected data field. Note: To restore the default text case of initial uppercase, select the option with the check mark. This removes the check mark from the option and changes the text case. When you design forms and labels, you can use the NextGen Data Repository window to select and place the data fields that you want displayed when you print your custom designed forms or labels. To insert data fields in a form or label template: Open the template in File Maintenance. In the Form Design window, select Insert Data Field . The NextGen Data Repository window opens. Double click on the applicable icon to display the data fields for that icon. Insert a data field in one of two ways: Select and drag the data field onto the Form Design window and release the mouse button when you have positioned the data field where you want it placed. If you want to adjust its position on the form, select and drag it again. Select an item in the list, and then select Add. Insert Text
You can enter text with the preferred font and style on the image to label or for any other purpose. Text added to an annotation stays together when you select either the image or the text and perform a copy and paste. To select text and images individually, select Ctrl and then select the text or annotation. Select an image. Select the Text button. Select and drag to draw a text box on the image. To change the font before you enter text, select the Font button. The Font window opens. Select a Font, Font style, and Size and select OK. Font Enter text in the text field.
