Exclude In-Progress Encounters from Actions That Are Automatically Created
You can exclude encounters based on billing status from the automatic creation of actions when NextGen® Enterprise PM calculates totals and creates tasks.
Open File Maintenance, and then select System.
Open the Task Types master file, and then select a task type with the Account source type.
Select the Auto Create tab, and then in the Exclude encounter status for applicable auto create actions field, select In Progress.
Note: The checkbox appears only if the Enable In Progress billing status checkbox is selected in the Encounters practice preferences.
