Defaulting New Encounters to In Progress Status based on Program

If your practice uses In Progress Billing in NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can enable functionality to automatically default new encounters to In Progress status based on program.

If the Default all new encounters to In Progress option is enabled in Practice Preferences > Encounters and specific programs are defined in the Limit to Valid Programs field, the In Progress check box on the Create Encounter window gets checked automatically when one of those programs is selected in the Program field.
