Prevent Plan Name Changes for Payers

You have the option to prevent a user from changing the Plan Name for a Patient by selecting an option in File Maintenance > Payers master file on the Defaults 2 tab of the Add/Modify Payer Information window. Access the Add/Modify Payer Information window, in File Maintenance > Payers > Payers List, select the applicable payer and double-click. The Modify Payer Information window appears. Select the Defaults-2 tab. To prevent a user from changing the Plan Name, select the Prevent modifying plan name on insurance maint check box. Click OK. Parent topic: Payers Master File

Changing the Payer Address and Associated Patient Records

The application allows you to change the Payer Address in the Master file and to optionally update all associated patient records with the new address. If you choose to update the associated records, the new address displays on the Insurance Maintenance window when it is accessed from the patient chart. However, if you choose not to update the associated patient records, the Insurance Maintenance window displays the old address. Any modifications to that address must be made on an individual record basis.
