Double-click the
eRxCertificateManagerIdenTrustOnly_Installer_1.0.0.zip
file that you downloaded to your computer.
You can view the following files in the folder.

To extract the files to the default directory, select

To extract the files to an alternative directory, select

folder opens.
Double-click the
eRxCertificateManagerIdentrustOnly_Installer_1.0.0.exe
file.

Update - eRx Certificate Manager Utility IdentrustOnly Rev.1.0.0
window opens.
Select
Next
.
The
Location to Save Files
section appears.
Do one of the following:
To accept the default path, select
Next
.
To select an alternative path, select
Change
, select a folder from the
Change Folder
window, and then select
OK
.
Note:
If you select an alternative folder location, do not select
c:\NextGen
as the installation path.
If a message appears indicating that the folder already exists, select
Yes
to extract the files to that folder.

Download the eRx Certificate Manager IdenTrust Only Utility
Open the NextGen Healthcare Success Community website and locate the eRx Certificate Manager page. Select the eRxCertificateManagerIdenTrustOnly_Installer_1.0.0.zip link and then save the .zip file to a folder in your computer. Parent topic: Installation and Setup

Run the eRx Certificate Manager IdenTrust Only Utility
After you have downloaded and installed the update package, you must run the eRx Certificate Manager IdenTrust Only utility on your NextGen database to update the IdenTrust certificate. Locate the eRxCertificateManagerIdenTrustOnly folder. The default folder location is c:\NextGenUtilities. Double-click the NextGen.eRx.CertificateManagerIdenTrustOnly.exe file. The Certificate Manager IdenTrust Only window opens displaying the current certificate details with the expiration date. Select Select and Install New Certificate. A window opens where you can select the new certificate. Select EpcsAuthenticationProxyApiClientProd and select Open. You must download the eRxCertificateManagerIdenTrustOnly_Installer_1.0.0.zip file from NextGen Healthcare Success Community and install the utility to update the IdenTrust certificate. The installation updates the IdenTrust certificate in the NextGen database that is specified in your ngconfig.ini file and ODBC. Note: The screenshots used in this guide are for reference only. The names of the files may vary. Install the eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only Utility
Before you begin Ensure that you have at least 29.5 MB of free disk space to install and run the utility. Double-click the eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnly_Installer_1.2.0.zip file you downloaded to your computer. You can view the following files in the folder. eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnly_Installer_1.2.0.exe eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnlyInstallerUserGuide.pdf Double-click the eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnly_Installer_1.2.0.exe file. Run the eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only Utility
After you have downloaded and installed the update package, you must run the eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only utility to update your eRx certificates. Note: The eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only utility must run on your NextGen database. Locate the eRxCertificateManagerUtilityVIPOnly folder. The default folder location is c:\NextGenUtilities. Double-click the NextGen.eRx.CertificateManagerVIPOnly.exe file. The security logon window opens. Enter your credentials, and then select Logon. The eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only window opens displaying the current certificate details with the expiration date highlighted. Select Select and Install New Certificate. The Select NextGen application certificate window opens. Select vip_cert and select Open. The Import successful window opens. Select NextGen application certificate Select OK.
