Install the eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only Utility
Before you begin Ensure that you have at least 29.5 MB of free disk space to install and run the utility. Double-click the eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnly_Installer_1.2.0.zip file you downloaded to your computer. You can view the following files in the folder. eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnly_Installer_1.2.0.exe eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnlyInstallerUserGuide.pdf Double-click the eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnly_Installer_1.2.0.exe file. The Compressed (zipped) Folders window opens. Compressed zipped folders Select Extract all. The Select a Destination and Extract Files window opens. Run the eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only Utility
After you have downloaded and installed the update package, you must run the eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only utility to update your eRx certificates. Note: The eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only utility must run on your NextGen database. Locate the eRxCertificateManagerUtilityVIPOnly folder. The default folder location is c:\NextGenUtilities. Double-click the NextGen.eRx.CertificateManagerVIPOnly.exe file. The security logon window opens. Enter your credentials, and then select Logon. The eRx Certificate Manager VIP Only window opens displaying the current certificate details with the expiration date highlighted. Select Select and Install New Certificate. The Select NextGen application certificate window opens. Select vip_cert and select Open. The Import successful window opens. Select NextGen application certificate Select OK. You must download the eRxCertificateManagerVIPOnly_Installer_1.2.0.zip file from NextGen Healthcare Success Community and install the utility to update the VIP certificate. The installation updates the VIP certificate in the database that is specified in your ngconfig.ini file and ODBC. Note: The screenshots used in this guide are for reference only.
