Mark an active implantable device record as inactive to deactivate it.
- Open the Implantable Devices window and locate an active device record.
- Select the record to expand it and verify that you selected the correct record.
- To deactivate a device:
- Select Modify Device.
The
Modify Implantable Device window opens.
- In Device Placed, select the date that the device was placed.
- In Device Status, select Inactive.
- In Note, enter a note that explains the reason for changing the device status, or provides more details about the device.
- Select OK.
The Device Status displays Inactive. The Notes section tracks all changes to the Device Status.
- Select OK.
The window moves the inactive device below the active devices. The system automatically adds a note stating who deactivated the record and the reason.
