Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR Templates from NextGen Document Management

In NextGen® Document Management, you can select NextGen® Enterprise EHR demographic and MRN templates, and then open them in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Document Management. Locate and open a document in the viewer. On the viewer toolbar, select a template from the list next to the Launch EHR Template button. Template Selection field Select the Launch EHR Template button. The NextGen® Enterprise EHR application opens the selected template. When you open a patient image in NextGen® Document Management with NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Enterprise EHR open, the patient chart associated with this image also opens. NextGen® Document Management also displays the search results for that active patient. You can access images associated with encounters from the list of encounters that appears in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. When you access a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM, any images maintained for the patient within NextGen® Document Management are listed under the NextGen® Document Management topic on the Clinical History/Notes tab of the chart. You can scan fee tickets into the NextGen® Document Management application and then post charges in NextGen® Enterprise PM against the digital images. You can create significant events in NextGen® Document Management and view them in NextGen® Enterprise PM. View Medical Records and Demographic Templates

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. If needed, select a location and provider. Select a patient. The patient's encounters opens in the Encounter History tab. Do one of the following: Select an existing unlocked encounter. To create an encounter, select New. Note: If you are creating a patient or the patient does not have an encounter, NextGen® Enterprise EHR prompts you to create an encounter. To select a template, do one of the following: Select the Templates button on the Top toolbar. You can add the button to the toolbar if it is not visible. From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Menu bar, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. To display templates of that type, select the Medical Records (default) or Demographics tab. Note: If applicable, the Group and Case Management tabs also appear to select Group Medical Records templates and Case Management templates. Open the Reports Template

You can open the Reports template from the Specialty Config Home template. Open the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application. From the File menu, select System / Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Template Note: By default, the System tab is selected, and preferred templates are displayed on the Select Template window. If the *Specialty Config Home option is not displayed in the preferred templates list, select All in the Show section. All system templates are displayed.
