Generate the Intake Note

You can generate the intake note for a patient using Generate Intake Note in the Intake and Histories template. The Generate Intake Note is used to generate the Intake Note as the written summary of the encounter from the intake staff or medical assistant. It is recommended that staff create the document after all of the intake activities are complete. It is not necessary to generate the note twice during a visit. When the intake staff completes documenting the patient information, the Intake Note is generated as the written summary of data collected up to this point in the encounter. The provider can also generate the Intake Note to obtain an overview of the collected information and then continue with the physical exam and assessment plan. Open the Intake or Histories template. Generate Intake Note

You can generate the intake note for a patient using Generate Intake Note on the Intake template. Before you begin You must complete all the intake activities before generating the intake note. You can generate the intake note as a written summary of the encounter from the intake staff or medical assistant. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Select Generate Intake Note. The generated intake note opens. Generate the Intake Note Document

After documenting the patient information, the intake staff generates the Intake Note as the written summary of data collected in the encounter. The provider might also generate the Intake Note to obtain an overview of the collected information and then continue with the history of present illness, physical exam, assessment, and plan. Generate ASC Intake Note Button

The Generate ASC Intake Note button at the bottom of the ASC - Intake template generates the ASC Intake document. Intake Staff Workflow

The intake staff workflow involves documenting the patient encounter in the Intake and Histories templates. The information documented by the intake staff is used by the provider for reference and to proceed with the encounter. Intake Template Overview of the Histories Template You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details. Document the OBGYN Synopsis Template The OBGYN Synopsis template provides the Obstetrics and Gynecology details of female patients. You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details. The Histories template enables you to document a patient's social history, problem list, medical or surgical history, diagnostic study history, and family history. You can also add skin cancer details. Documenting the Patient History Summary You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details from the History Summary panel.
