Generate the Intake Note
You can generate the intake note for a patient using Generate Intake Note in the Intake and Histories template.
The Generate Intake Note is used to generate the Intake Note as the written summary of the encounter from the intake staff or medical assistant. It is recommended that staff create the document after all of the intake activities are complete. It is not necessary to generate the note twice during a visit.
When the intake staff completes documenting the patient information, the Intake Note is generated as the written summary of data collected up to this point in the encounter. The provider can also generate the Intake Note to obtain an overview of the collected information and then continue with the physical exam and assessment plan.
- Open the Intake or Histories template.
- Click Generate Intake Note.
- Review the generated document.
- Click the Close icon.
