Add a Credit Card on File Using Key Method

NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed processing provides you with the option to store credit card data in the application using a unique token ID. You can view the saved credit card data for a patient on the Credit Card on File tab of the Account Profile window. A push-pin icon appears on the Credit Card on File tab when the patient has an active credit card on file. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Account. The Account Profile window opens. Select the Credit Card on File tab. To add a new credit card, select open menu and then select New. A window opens asking you to choose the method to save the credit card data. Note: If there are existing practice preferences and no user preferences are selected, the payment processing is done as follows: For practices with a single MID- The NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed web form opens on your default browser and you can enter the credit card number. NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed enables you to perform electronic payment processing by using a card reader device or completing the payment on a NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMedweb form. This type of payment processing enables you to accept credit card and Echeck payments when you have an active connection to the internet. You can collect an electronic payment by utilizing the following methods: Swipe a credit card Insert or tap a credit card - EMV devices only Manually key in the credit card data Utilize the NextGen® Enterprise PM Card on File function ECheck Payment Collect an ECheck Payment With No Device You can use the echeck method to collect payments for patients. NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed processing enables you to store a credit card on file for patient payments. This feature expedites the payment process for patients who use a credit card, or FSA/HSA card for payment. All card data is stored on the Account Profile > Credit Card on File tab. If the patient has more than one credit card on file, you can use the credit card specified by the patient or payer. Note: You must activate a batch before you process a patient's payment. NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed enables you to collect payments from patients by swiping the credit card, inserting the card (EMV chip), or keying in the card details. Set Up Unique MIDs for Users

Use the User Preferences window to set up unique MID for every user. You can set up the unique MID when there are no profiles created in the Practice Preferences window. In NextGen® Enterprise PM select Admin > Preferences > User > General > Payment Processing tab. The Payment Processing tab on the User Preferences window opens. User Preference window Select the following details on the Payment Processing tab of the User Preferences window. Swipe MID: Select the swipe MID number provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. This number will be attached to all swiped credit card transactions. Terminal ID: Select the terminal ID for your practice. If left blank, the application populates this field with 0001. Non-Swipe: Enter the non-swipe number provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. This number will be attached to all credit card transactions when the card is not present or when the number is keyed into the system.
