Set Application Access for Users

You can select which applications displays on the Application Launcher for all users, and on an individual basis. Regardless of access (global or user), users must have the appropriate rights to access the applications. Note: You can select up to 20 applications to display. Globally selected applications cannot be modified at the user level. To set application access for all users, from the Edit menu, select Full App Launcher Access. The Full Application Access window appears. Select the check boxes for applications that will display on the Launcher. The selections are automatically applied to all users and cannot be deselected at the user level. Clear the check boxes for applications that will not display by default on the Launcher but can be displayed at the user level. Select OK. To set application access at the user level, select a user. The Programs master file is a system-level table. Therefore, all programs can potentially be accessed by any practice in any enterprise. If your enterprise includes multiple practices, you can use the Practice Access option to define which practices have access to each program. For example, Practice A and Practice B both provide services under Program XYZ, but Practice C does not. Therefore, only Practices A and B should have access to Program XYZ. Note: Multiple practices with access to the same program share all system-level parameters defined on the program System and Clinical tabs. Each practice can define their own practice-level parameters on the program Practice tab. Access File Maintenance. Select System Master Files, then PM, and then Programs. Assign Rights to User Groups

Select a user group, and then select the Rights tab. Select the permission group or category. To view a sub-group, select the button. In the Access Rights box, select the rights to apply for the selected permissions group or subgroup. Select the Update button to save changes. Note: All rights that you have assigned at the permission group level are carried over to each sub-group and sub-category included in the selected Permission group. To assign limited rights, select a permission group. Select to clear all of the check boxes in the Access Rights box. Select the rights that should be granted universally to the entire permission group. Also, select the rights you want to limit.
