Create Duplicate Person Operation

The Create Duplicate Person Operations subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to create duplicate persons or patients in NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM. When a user is in a group with this right set to Yes and attempts to create a duplicate person, the Ignore button displays on the Potential Duplicate Persons window. The user can select the button to create the duplicate person. However, when a user is in a group with this right set to No and attempts to create a duplicate person, the Ignore button on the Potential Duplicate Persons window is replaced by the Override button. This button enables a supervisor or other person with this right set to Yes to override the security by entering login credentials. The overriding user's name is included in the Duplicate Person Screen Bypassed significant event. See, Significant Events Reference List. Enterprise Level Significant Events Reference List

The following table describes the Enterprise Level significant events. Field Description Address Changed through "Change of Address Update" Process Tracks address changes that occur due to the Change of Address Update process in NextGen® Enterprise PM, File menu > Processes > Change of Address Update. Client Defined <1-14> Tracks changes made to the 14 client defined fields in the Modify Patient/Person Information window on the Client Defined tab. The reports that display significant events in NextGen® Enterprise PM are Significant Events and Significant Event History. Subgroup Used in Description Association Level NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to merge duplicate person and patient records within practices that are in the same association.
