Practice Level	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to merge duplicate person and patient records within the practice he or she is logged into.
System Level	NextGen® Enterprise PM	Enables users to merge duplicate person and patient records from within all practices within the system.

Create Duplicate Person Operation

The Create Duplicate Person Operations subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to create duplicate persons or patients in NextGen® Enterprise EHR and NextGen® Enterprise PM. When a user is in a group with this right set to Yes and attempts to create a duplicate person, the Ignore button displays on the Potential Duplicate Persons window. The user can select the button to create the duplicate person. However, when a user is in a group with this right set to No and attempts to create a duplicate person, the Ignore button on the Potential Duplicate Persons window is replaced by the Override button. This button enables a supervisor or other person with this right set to Yes to override the security by entering login credentials. The overriding user's name is included in the Duplicate Person Screen Bypassed significant event. See, Significant Events Reference List. Enterprise level, where users can merge duplicate person and patient records within the enterprise. Practice level, where users can merge duplicate person and patient records within the practice they arelogged on to. System level, where users can merge duplicate person and patient records from within all practices within the system. Users with enterprise-level person merge access rights can run a practice-level person merge from any of the practices within the enterprise. Users with only practice-level person merge access rights cannot run an enterprise-level person merge.
