Optical Management Module

The Optical Management module subgroup in the System Administrator application is used only if you are licensed for the NextGen® Optical Management application. This subgroup enables users to access the Integrated Equipment module, and add and delete the reports for NextGen® Optical Management devices. The Optical Management module includes the following: Balance Control Inventory Allocation Inventory Load Inventory Master Inventory Purchase Order Inventory Reconciliation Inventory Return Inventory Transfer Inventory Write-Off Orders Patient Notes Receive Lab Order Reports For information on the NextGen® Optical Management rights, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the User Guide for NextGen Optical Management. Managed Care Module

The Equipment module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access the Real-time Transaction Server (purchased separately). Subgroup Used in Description Eligibility NextGen® Enterprise PM Used with the Real-time Transaction Server (purchased separately). Enables users to view, add, update, delete, and print eligibility inquiries. Referral NextGen® Enterprise PM Used with the Real-time Transaction Server (purchased separately). Transactions Module

Subgroup Used in Description Balance Control NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to access to the Balance Control window to move a balance for an encounter from one party (insurance/guarantor) to another. Batches NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to create and modify transaction batches for entering payments, adjustments, and refunds. Enterprise Batch Groupings NextGen® Enterprise PM Enables users to create, modify, and delete batch groupings. Marketing Plans Module

The Marketing Plans module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to modify marketing plans that are attached to appointments, encounters, and patient charts. The Marketing Plans module is used in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: Update is the only access right that this permission affects. However, regardless to how Update is set, users can always add marketing plans when none has been previously selected for an appointment, an encounter, or a patient chart.
