Clinical Decision Support Operation

When set to Yes, permissions enable users of specific modules to access the clinical decision support URL that is set up in the Resources Practice Preferences. Clinical Decision Support

Clinical Decision Support refers to the external resources that provide evidence-based decision support interventions. These external resources enable you to select one or more electronic clinical decision support interventions based on each and at least one combination of the following: Problem list Medication list Medication allergy list Demographics Laboratory tests and values/results Vital signs In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, clinical decision support electronically identifies diagnostic and therapeutic reference information for the user. The HL7 InfoButton link set up in File Maintenance activates the Clinical Decision Support URL to connect you to context-sensitive information based on the active NextGen® Enterprise EHR module. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that the URLs associated with Clinical Decision Support access sites or vendors that provide you with additional information, such as suggested care plans and recommendations based on the patient's results or diagnoses. Clinical Decision Support security rights allow users to access the clinical support available through the URL specified in the Resources practice preferences. Access System Administrator. Select your enterprise practice > group. On the Rights tab, select the plus icon next to OPERATIONS to expand the list, and then expand Clinical Decision Support. To enable user access to Clinical Decision Support, do one of the following: For all relevant modules, select Clinical Decision Support, and then select Yes in the Access Rights section. For specific modules, expand Clinical Decision Support, select the relevant name, and then select Yes in the Access Rights section for the following modules: For the Orders module, select Lab Results. For the Medication Allergy module, select Medication Allergies. For the Medications module, select Medications. For the Problems module, select Problems & Diagnosis. The Medical Records module subgroup in the System Administrator application enables users to access the Medical Records module.
