Assign Rights for the Secure Lookup Feature

To provide access to the secure lookup feature, security rights must be assigned to the appropriate user groups in your practice. When the Secure Lookup right is set to Yes for the group that the user belongs to, the L4DSSN and secure Birth Date fields display on the Person/Patient Lookup window; the fields do not display if the access right is set to No. For more information on using secure lookups in the People Lookup window, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Appointment Scheduling Guide for NextGen Enterprise PM.
  1. Select a group, and then select the Rights tab.
  2. In the Operations permissions group, expand Chart/Demographics/Employer, then select Secure Lookup.

  3. Under Access Rights, select Yes to assign the right to the group or select No to remove the right from the group.
