Set up Patient Portal Trigger

The Patient Portal action launches windows at run time that enable you to: Set up an account for a patient on the NextGen® PxP Portal website. Schedule the future delivery of a message to a patient enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. After a message has been scheduled, you can review and edit or delete it, if necessary. NextGen® PxP Portal is a secure Internet portal that enables patients to communicate with providers, request appointments, request prescription refills, review test results, complete online forms, view documents and statements, and access health reference information. You need to confirm that the following criteria are verified: Is this happening for all patients or just one patient? Is this happening for all published forms or just one form? Is the patient registered on NextGen® PxP Portal? If the patient is not registered on NextGen® PxP Portal, has the patient completed a PreCheck form? Note: Patients can complete Precheck Patient Engage forms without enrolling into NextGen® PxP Portal. Did the patient submit the form? Note: You can search for the patient in Practice Portal to check the completed forms submitted by the patient on the Custom Forms page. Is it the PDF of the form that is not updated in the patients' chart? Is default Location and Provider set in PxP Portal Integration Tool (PPIT) under Practice Configuration? Enroll a Patient in NextGen® PxP Portal

If the Patient Portal trigger action is Enrollment, you can set up a NextGen® PxP Portal account for the selected patient through NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For more information on the enrollment process, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest NextGen® PxP Portal Provider Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Ask your system administrator which NextGen® Enterprise EHR template and field to use. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select the template that contains the Patient Portal trigger, and then select OK. Select the Patient Portal trigger on the applicable field. The following actions are triggered depending on the patient status: If the patient status is Not Enrolled and all mandatory patient information fields are filled, a NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment invitation email is sent to the patient. Send Interactive Medical History Forms from the File Menu

Before you begin You must set up Interactive Medical History (IMH) in the following: File Maintenance; for more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Configuration Guide for NextGen® PxP Portal. NextGen® PxP Portal Integration Tool; for more information, contact the NextGen Healthcare Implementation team. Patients can complete and submit IMH forms online through NextGen® PxP Portal. Optionally, they can also print out, complete, and submit the forms when they visit your practice. In the NextGen® Enterprise EHR top toolbar, select Patient . The Patient Lookup window opens. Search for and select a NextGen® PxP Portal enrolled patient.
