Configure Practices for Payment Processing for a Single Outlet ID

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preference > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. From the Preference List, select Payment Processing. In Credit Card Processor, select InstaMed. Enter the SSO password and the swipe MID number provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. The MID number is attached to all swiped credit card transactions. Enter the non-swipe MID number provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. The non-swipe MID number is attached to all credit card transactions when a card is not present or when you key the number into the system. Enter the terminal ID and the store ID provided by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed for your practice. Note: A terminal ID is a unique number that can be used to identify the source of the transaction. A store ID is a unique identifier for your store account. If you leave the fields blank, a default value of 0001 appears after you save the changes. Select Payment Method and Bad Debt Payment Method. Select OK. Parent

Set Up Multiple Profiles and Outlet IDs for Payment Processing

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preference > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. Select Payment Processing from the Preference List. In the Credit Card Processor field, select InstaMed. Select Outlet IDs. The InstaMed Configuration window opens. Enter a new profile name, and then select Add. A message appears confirming the addition of the new configuration, and indicating that the new profile is added to the Profile list. Select OK. On the InstaMed Configuration window, enter the following details. All the fields are required to fill in. Enter the description for the device, for example Front Desk - Ingenico. The description is the name of the outlet and displays in the Using Outlet field when processing a payment in Payment Entry. Enter Swipe MID, Non-Swipe MID, Terminal ID, and Store ID. Set Up Practice Preferences for Credit Card Processors

Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Admin > Preferences > Practice. The Practice Preferences window opens. From the Preference List, select Payment Processing. To activate credit card processing for your practice, select Enable Credit Card Processing. To process partial refund amounts that are less than the original credit card payment to the patients, select Allow partial credit on credit card payments. Note: If you do not select the Allow partial credit on credit card payments option, users can only credit the full amount of the original credit card transaction. The full amount of the original transaction appears in CC Amt and Pay on the Payment Entry window and is not editable. Optional: To save the credit card data as a unique token ID, select Save Credit Card Token ID on file. Select Auto Pay Collection Process for automatic collection of payments. Add a Credit Card on File Using the Swipe Method

You can store a patient's credit card data in NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed using a unique token ID. You can view the saved credit card data on the Credit Card on File tab of the Account Profile window. Note: A push-pin icon on the Credit Card on File tab indicates that the patient has an active credit card on file. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Account. The Account Lookup window opens. Search for and open the patient account. The Account Profile window opens. Select the Credit Card on File tab. To add a credit card, select open menu , and then select New. A window opens to choose the method to save the credit card data. Optional: If there are existing practice preferences and no user preferences are selected, select one of the payment processing method: For practices with a single MID, the NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed web form opens on your default browser and you can enter the cheque details.
